How to clean a stain on your doll

Remove stains

Before taking action, identify the type of stain. TPE is a delicate material: an overly aggressive method can do more damage than the stain itself.

Understanding the risk

Thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) can be marked by certain textiles, especially when they are dark, worn for extended periods, or damp. Pressure, oil in the TPE, and pigments can all contribute to the transfer of the mark.

Grease, marker or dirt stains

What is the origin of the stain? Grease? Dirt? Ink? Some come off easily, others require more patience.

If the stain is small

Warm water + mild soap. Do not rub hard: gently dab with a clean cloth to avoid damaging the surface.

If it's not a garment transfer

A very small amount of petroleum jelly on a microfiber cloth can help. Rub gently, without rubbing too hard.

If it's a garment transfer

Instead, use a stain-removing paste/cream designed for TPE. This is the most suitable method for textile pigments.

Stain remover for very small businesses

Some brands offer a "TPE stain remover" cream that is particularly effective on stains caused by clothing. On paint or permanent marker, effectiveness may be limited.

Before we begin

  • Make sure the doll is clean.
  • Removes dust, hair and impurities that could interfere with the product's action.

Instructions for use

  1. Apply a small amount of white cream directly to the stained area.
  2. If you use your fingers, wash your hands thoroughly afterwards. Ideally, wear gloves.
  3. Leave on for approximately 4 hours. The color will gradually fade.
